ALIEN MUMMIES, PSYCHIC GOAT
& DANGEROUS EIS
BY MORGAN LINEBERRY
ALIEN SPECIMENS STARTLE
MEXICAN CONGRESS AT
HEARING

cientists and experts in Mexico unveiled what they
claim to be mummified, non-human bodies during
the country’s first-ever congressional hearing on
Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), commonly
known as UFOs. Journalist and UFO researcher Jaime
Maussan, along with other experts, displayed two small
mummified specimens, asserting that their DNA did not
match any known human or terrestrial animal species, ac-
cording to an ABC Eyewitness News story. The disclosure
left congressional members visibly stunned and instantly
ignited heated debates across social media platforms.
Maussan referred to the evidence as “the queen of all
evidence,” arguing that these specimens could potentially
revolutionize our understanding of extraterrestrial life. He
cautioned, however, that labeling them as “extraterrestri-
als” would be premature. The mummified bodies were
discovered in 2017 in the Nazca desert of Peru, a region
known for its mysterious geoglyphs.

Congressman Sergio Gutiérrez Luna of the ruling
Morena party emphasized the importance of “transpar-
ent dialogue" on the subject but clarified that Congress
had not yet formed an official stance on the findings. This
groundbreaking hearing follows earlier testimonies in
the United States, where concerns over UAPs have been
increasingly linked to national security.
PSYCHIC GOAT REALLY IS
THE 'GREATEST OF ALL TIME
or anyone planning a trip to
Scotland, there 1s one person
you definitely want to visit:
Sue Zacharias in Jedburgh in the
Boarders. She has a uniquely tal-
ented pet — *a fortune-telling goat"
named Billy, according to a story by
the Daily Record. You see, Billy can
tell your fortune using tarot cards.
“Once the person has stroked
the goat for a while, they put their
hand on the deck of cards and
choose which one feels right — or Billy chooses it for
them," Sue said.
Billy and Sue do live shows, turning the farm into a
festival of sorts. It has been said that animals can sense
things humans cannot, and Billy the goat has been de-
scribed as *spookily accurate" in his predictions, so this
seems to be true in his case.

ARE ALIENS MUTILATING
SHEEP IN WALES?
lix Nobes and Kieren Williams of the Mirror bring
us the story of an interesting theory. Helena Worth,
who describes herself as an amateur scientist and
UFO hunter, believes that
aliens have been continuously
butchering sheep in Wales —
and making no attempt to hide
their work. Worth “became
obsessed with aliens after she"
spotted one over her home
several years ago.
The aliens always make
“very precise cut marks or
something an animal couldn’t do,” Worth explained. This
goes against the original theory that large cats were respon-
sible for the carnage. While there is a rumor of a mysteri-
ous large cat in the area, there never seem to be footprints
or paw prints found near the mutilations, leading Worth
to believe the culprit came down from the sky.
WHISTLEBLOWER SAYS
ALIENS HAVE KILLED HUMANS
Бе Mirror reporters
Reanna Smith and Tim
Hanlon bring us some
shocking information from Da-
vid Grusch, who recently testi-
fied in front of the U.S. Con-
gress and previously worked for
the U.S. Defense Department’s
National Geospatial-Intelligence
Agency. Grusch claims that “non-human intelligences” (as
he calls them) have murdered humans before.
Grusch hints at “agreements” with these beings that
could put “our future in jeopardy,” by which he means

the future of humanity. While he does not have many
details and cannot speak completely freely at risk of reper-
cussions, he mentioned “malevolent events," leaving us to
wonder if aliens really come in peace.
The idea 1s unnerving and leaves us questioning how
many of these non-human intelligences there are and how
many pose a threat to our very existence.
USING LUCID DREAMING
TO TALK TO THE DEAD
ucid dreaming is a
state of sleep where
the dreamer be-
comes aware that they are
dreaming and may gain
some control over their
dream environment, ac-
tions, or both. Tree Carr,
who is a “dreaming guide,”
claims we can use this
technique to contact the
deceased and she has managed to accomplish this herself,
according to a Daily Star report.
Once a horror movie actress and backup vocalist
for Adam Ant, Tree has since become a certified death
doula, aiding in the process of dying. Carr is intimately
familiar with the line separating the living and the dead.
After her sister died in 2022, she was able to connect
with her through dreaming. In the dream, Carr’s sister
appeared in the shape of a cat and told her, “I love you
forever. Keep my son in your life.” The dream occurred
at the exact time her sister passed away. Ф

HAUNTED ENTERTAINMENT
By Gwendolyn Kiste, The Lineup
erewolves. "They're often treated as the lesser
cinematic monster. After all, there are tons
of zombies, vampires, and ghosts throughout
movie history. But lycanthropes rarely have the red carpet
rolled out for them.
That being said, there are still plenty of great werewolf
films out there if you know where to look. So, for your
howl-at-the-moon pleasure, here are six werewolf films to
watch as soon as possible. Full moon optional.
1. Wolfen (1981)
Cinema has given us so many versions of the Big Apple
over the years that eventually you think you've seen it all. But
Wolfen proves you wrong. This might be the loneliest incar-
nation of New York City ever to grace the silver screen.
Albert Finney's hard-nosed police officer 1s investigat-
ing a series of murders, not realizing that he's being drawn
deeper and deeper into a supernatural world beyond his
comprehension. Without a doubt, Wolfen is very much
of its time, and there are certainly aspects of the movie
that haven't aged well, but if nothing else, the use of actual

wolves for the werewolf scenes is well done and memo-
rable — and for anyone who’s ever watched a Dracula
adaption and had to witness scruffy German shepherds
playing “wolves,” you’ll understand how much featuring
the real deal makes a difference.
And, seriously, what horror fan doesn’t want to see
werewolves roaming the streets of Manhattan? That alone
1s worth adding this one to your watch list.
2. The Howling (1981)
So, most people would probably put An American
Werewolf in London on this list over The Howling. And,
honestly, the argument can clearly be made in its favor, con-
sidering how groundbreaking it was at the time. That being
said, given John Landis’ deeply problematic past — and the
simple fact that I personally don’t love his movie as much as
Joe Dante's 1981 classic — let's go with The Howling instead.
Dee Wallace plays a dogged reporter who’s deter-
mined to face off with her dangerous stalker and get to the
bottom of who he is and what he wants. To be fair, she
manages to do exactly that while paying a steep price for the

knowledge. The seedy cityscapes and fabulous countryside
scenes all shot on location in California combine to create
an ambiance unlike any other in werewolf movie history.
Plus, the special effects are an absolute blast, including
the horrifying transformations and even the stop-motion
wolves toward the end. This film is such a nostalgic horror
romp, so give it a watch (or re-watch) as soon as you can.
3. The Company of Wolves (1984)
For anyone who knows me or reads my articles
regularly, you're already well aware that I’m a huge Angela
Carter fan. Her collection, The Bloody Chamber, liter-
ally changed my horror-loving Ше, and I’m definitely all
the better for it. And while no cinematic adaptation could
ever truly do Carter's lush prose justice, director Neil
Jordan does a respectable job with this 1984 film.
With his signature style and some very impressive and
sumptuous cinematography and set design, The Company
of Wolves reminds us that the werewolf genre can be set
in any era and can look just as beautiful as any arthouse
film. Add in some very delightful creatures (more real-life
wolves!), and you've got a haunting fairy tale for the ages.
12 Paranormal Underground September 2023
4. Wolf (1994)
The 1990s were an interesting time when it came to
the landscape of cinema. 'T here were a lot more films
made specifically for adult audiences, as opposed to the
modern proliferation of cross-over films like comic book
adaptations meant for adults and children alike.
That meant you got some unusual fare, such as this
rather contemplative, sophisticated take on the werewolf
genre starring Jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christo-
pher Plummer, and James Spader.
Even looking at that cast list and remembering they
starred together in a horror movie directed by Mike
Nichols (of The Graduate fame) still stuns me in all the
best ways.
Also, for writers, there's the added bonus of this film
having an entire subplot about how cutthroat the publish-
ing industry 1s.
Needless to say, Michelle Pfeiffer is amazing in
everything, so her presence puts this film up over the top.
Wolf doesn't get nearly the love that it deserves, so if you
haven't seen it before, take my advice and give it a chance.
It's a lot of fun.
5. Dog Soldiers (2002)
Possibly the least known of the films on this list, Dog
Soldiers is one of the most unique werewolf films Гуе
ever seen. The plot goes in directions you don't expect,
and the atmosphere is an intense and disarming one.
Director Neil Marshall has since gone on to more ac-
claim with The Descent, Hellboy, and Game of Thrones,
but Dog Soldiers is the one that started it all for him. And
what a marvelous directorial debut it is. A group of British
soldiers on a routine traming exercise in the woods realize
something dangerous is after them. It doesn't get easier
for them from there.
To be honest, it’s been years since I’ve seen this one,
which means I’m long overdue for a rewatch. So, let's all
put this one on our streaming queue ASAP, shall we?
6. Ginger Snaps (2000)
I remember seeing this for the first tme when I was a
teenager, and I’m not sure I’ve ever been the same. Sisters
Ginger and Bridgitte are morbid and inseparable, living in
their boring suburb with their clueless family.
That is, until Ginger starts her period and 15
promptly attacked by a strange feral creature. Dealing
with coming-of-age in an undoubtedly brutal way, Ginger
Snaps is a movie that understands what it’s like to be dif-
ferent and not fit in with the rest of the crowd. A deci-
sively feminist twist on the traditional werewolf tale, this
one sticks with you.

tional wisdom. Not your run-of-the-mill ghost hunter,
Chris holds the unique title of *ghost behaviorist."
For more than a decade, he has been plumbing the
spectral depths of Toledo, Ohio — a city teeming with
haunted history and otherworldly phenomena. With a
rich background in ancient texts, Buddhism, psychology,
and sociology, as well as his work as a ghost tour guide at
the Oliver House and Collingwood Arts Center, Chris
brings an eclectic but rigorously intellectual approach to
the field of paranormal research.
As the host of the YouTube show, Ghost Doctor,
and the author of Ghost Hunting 2.0, Chris has been no
stranger to the spotlight. His latest endeavor, a new book
titled Haunted Toledo, is setting a new paradigm. This
isn’t Just another spooky tale to be whispered around
campfires; it is a comprehensive dive into a blend of his-
tory, eyewitness accounts, and what can only be termed as
“ghostly interviews.”
What sets Bores apart 1$ his ground-breaking meth-
odology. By amalgamating theories from psychology and
sociology with insights from ancient texts, he has devised a
novel ghost classification system that has led to some jaw-
dropping outcomes, including spirit interactions that have
lasted an astonishing 90 minutes.
Chris recently talked with Paranormal Underground
magazine about his unconventional approaches, the enig-
mas of the spirit world, and why Haunted Toledo 1s much
more than a regional curiosity.

Q: Can you elaborate on what a Ghost Behaviorist
is and how it distinguishes you from traditional
ghost hunters or paranormal investigators?
14 Paranormal Underground September 2023
Ghost behaviorist Chris Bores harnesses ancient wisdom and
modern psychology to engage the spirit world.
Chris: А Ghost Behaviorist studies the behavior pattern
of spirits. This allows for getting into their psyche to figure
out their needs, wants, and ailments. Doing this has also
allowed me to create a ghost classification system that
helps tailor my approach to quickly build a rapport to get
them talking, keep them talking, and pull out valuable
data that is otherwise difficult to obtain.
No one has ever come at the spirit world in this man-
ner, and it is light years ahead of what most ghost hunters
do in the field. When I interact with ghosts, m armed
with tactics pulled from psychology, sociology, ancient
texts, quantum physics, etc. Гуе spent a very long time
creating and fine-tuning this *super-powered" approach
that really is unmatched and breaks the mold of what

people think can be achieved in ghost communication.
And that's been my ultimate goal since day one: finding
the next level to the paranormal.
Q: Your new book claims to provide evidence for
“the first ever ghost hand materializing out of thin
air" at the Oliver House. Can you take us through
that moment, and how it may have shifted your
perspective on ghostly interactions?
Chris: When I come at spirits in a psychological manner,
Ioften hit these waypoints where spirits want to prove
themselves to me. It's an interesting dance. During this
particular encounter you've referenced, I was interacting
with a spirit of a woman who was very protective of the
child spirits 1n the area.
As I began addressing the root problem of her overbear-
ing behavior, she began to emotionally lash out at me. She
gave up a few EVPs saying, “Get out,” before she started
cursing at me. This doesn’t surprise me, though, since she’s
been locked in the same behavior patterns for over 100
years. She's probably thinking, “Who does this guy think he
is coming into my home and pointing out my flaws?”
So, after addressing her issues, this flash of light ap-
peared in my video footage directly in my line of sight.
Now, I didn’t see this occur at the time because it hap-
pened within 1/8th of a second. That’s faster than the hu-
man eye can observe. Thankfully, video cameras record
at 30 frames a second, so I got it on film.
At first, I thought this light anomaly was a reflection,
so I initially dismissed it. But after going through the foot-
age a second time, I thought, Wait a minute. What the
heck did this thing even reflect off of? It made no sense.
Then when I examined the light frame by frame, I about
fell off of my chair. I watched as the light transformed
itself into the image of a hand. It had very defined fingers,
a thumb, and a palm. And it occurred the exact moment
my REM-POD went off!
The most compelling thing about this piece of footage
is that the spirit light appeared green hued in color. This
is in itself groundbreaking, because it’s the very first time
a ghost light as been captured without a night vision filter
on. So, we finally get to see the actual color of a manifest-
ing ghost!
This 15 important to point out, because I've been doing
extended research, experimentation, and questioning spirits
on what this all means, and I’ve come to understand that
spirit colors are another mind-blowing layer to all this, which
holds special significance! I’m not ready to reveal what that
entails just yet, but let Just say it’s another earth-shattermg
discovery to add to my other jaw-dropping discoveries.
Q: On that note, your book delves into the concept
of “Rules to the Afterlife,” which you discovered.
What are some of these rules, and how did you
come to discover that spirits must adhere to them?
Chris: Back in 2012, I was watching every single paranor-
mal TV show out there. I noticed around this time that the
genre hit this sticking point, where investigators seemed un-
aware of what to do with a spirit once they found it. It was
very frustrating to watch, since I had been studying ancient
texts and psychology and knew what to do.
I saw the ball was being dropped every time, so I de-

cided to go out and prove there was a better way of doing
things.
In 2012, I traveled to the St. Augustine Lighthouse in
Florida and ended up conversing with all the friendly spir-
its there. I asked them many questions and used psycho-
logical ploys to keep them talking longer than usual. Later,
when I added up the total interaction time, 1t clocked in
at over 90 minutes. This was unheard of! To this day, no
one has come close to duplicating that success.
You can even watch it for yourself on my YouTube
channel: Ghost Doctor - St. Augustine Lighthouse. It's
one of the most unique interactions ever with a spirit,
especially when it came to the subject matter. Things got
crazy when I began asking specific questions about the
afterlife, causing the girl we were talking to, Eliza, to stop
talking to us.
When she left, I spent a good two to three minutes
coaxing her back into the conversation. After returning
a third time, I saw a pattern emerge. I straight out asked
her, "Are there certain things I shouldn't be asking you?"
Eliza cautiously answered back. “Yes.”
Then I asked the following. “Are there certain things
you are not allowed to tell us?”
“Yes »
" Are there certain things that we are not supposed to
know?"
“Үс”
"Will you get in trouble if you talk about them?"
“Yes [11
16 Paranormal Underground September 2023
“So, even if you wanted to, you could not make our me-
ters spike or communicate in any way about those topics?”
Eliza spiked the meter as strong as she could: Yes.
This blew my mind. It also raised a whole new set of
questions I had to know! What happens to anyone break-
ing those rules? What are those punishments? How many
rules are there? And the most important of all: Who is
policing the afterlife!?
From that point on, I spent the next decade mastering
my craft so I could regularly talk to ghosts, befriend them,
and get all those important answers everyone has about
the afterlife. This has currently led me to greater heights,
including helping spirits, healing them, and really going
beyond the normal ghost-hunter approach.
Q: Can you provide a bit more detail on what spir-
its aren't allowed to talk about and why?
Chris: That is tricky to answer, because one of the rules is,
“Don’t talk about the rules!” A ghost can admit these rules
exist, but they are restricted from divulging too much beyond
that. Whenever I bring up the subject of “afterlife rules” to
any ghost I encounter, they do confirm they exist. But, their
behavior changes rapidly, and I instantly feel that they are
starting to get very nervous about even mentioning it.
This 1s because revealing certain aspects about these
afterlife secrets have punishments attached to them. And
punishments can range from spending time in purgatory
to being stripped of the karma they've acquired. This is
something they don't want happening to them.
Simply put, we as humans are not supposed to know
certain things about the afterlife. This ruins aspects of
our spiritual growth and our own life’s journey. But with
that being said, these rules are very similar to how the 10
Commandments are there for the living to follow. And
one of the neat pieces of information Гуе gotten is that
there are more than just 10 rules for spirits to follow.
So, what are these rules? Well, from what Гуе been
able to piece together, the most straightforward rule 15 that
they have to follow basic universal law. Universal laws are
intrinsic, unchanging laws that all ancient cultures have
always Just intuitively known and adhere too. Another rule
1s that they cannot interfere with anyone's personal growth
or preordained life path.
Now, you might be thinking, I’ve heard stories of
demons violating those rules. Yes, you're right, they do.
But demons are on a different spiritual path altogether.
They cannot be lumped into this group. Demons have
chosen a path away from the light, where destruction and
perversion is rewarded. Their harmful actions actually
cause them to "level ар,” so to speak, into the dark side,
but that is a whole other series of discussions.
Chris takes a break at the Collingwood Arts Center, where he worked as a ghost tour guide. The haunted location became
Chris' training ground for learning how to interact with spirits.
Q: Haunted Toledo talks about a revolutionary
classification system that you've created for ghost
interactions. Can you briefly explain this system
and how it has led to some of the longest spirit
interactions ever recorded?
Chris: When I started getting serious about this work, I
went back and broke down all my personal interactions
Ive had with ghosts and filtered them through a psycho-
logical lens. I started seeing that there were spirits with
unfinished business, anger issues, introverted/extroverted
issues, and some that just loved to wander around.
As I explored what all this meant, it all boiled down
to their mindset. Once I figured that out, everything else
fell into place. My classification system came together,
and it encompassed every single spiritual being I’ve ever
encountered or heard about. AND IT ALL MADE
SENSE! I understood why they did the things they did
and even plotted out a chart of how ghosts evolve or
de-evolve in the afterlife. That framework allowed me to
understand spirits on a deeper level and really get person-
able with them, which in turns gets interactions lasting
even longer!
Q: You've stated that there is a spiritual tier sys-
tem and different realms in the afterlife. Can you
September 2023
share some insights into these tiers and realms?
How do they affect interactions with spirits?
Chris: To really grasp the concept of the layered afterlife,
I had to turn to Eastern philosophy and Buddhism. Го
my knowledge, I'm the only ghost investigator out there
using Eastern religions in their paranormal studies. I find
their texts invaluable to the work I do, especially The
Tibetan Book of the Dead.
This is a difficult book to comprehend, but one thing
it lays out 1s that there are six main realms that exist in the
afterlife — I've discovered more, but let's stick to these for
now. After a person dies, they sometimes gravitate to one
of these realms if their mindset is tuned into that vibra-
tional frequency.
As a ghost behaviorist, it’s important for me to
know this, because the mindset of a ghost is mainly the
culprit behind the dangers they now face. Each of these
realms operates by their own set of rules, conditions,
and dangers. For instance, the Titan realm attracts the
prideful, the Jealous God realm attracts the greedy, the
Hungry Ghost realm attracts the mentally hungry, and so
on. After understanding their condition, I can then help
them by pushing them out of that state and on to where
they need to go.
The number one thing ghost hunters capture from

ghosts are voices asking for help. Earthbound spirits are
here for a reason, and it's usually because they are in situ-
ations they can't find their way out of. So, being aware of
different realms and mind states really helps me to give
them the help they need.
Q: How do you offer help and assistance to
spirits?
Chris: I have created custom and specific mantras and
prayer rituals for each spirit type. This includes demons
as well. I have also created the very first portable altar to
assist me, which I set up at a location, perform the rituals
needed, and then tear down afterward with ease.
I stay pretty busy locally, since paranormal issues are
constantly on the rise. What people don't realize 1s that
most ghost problems can be avoided if they know how
to purify and cleanse their home properly. I even know
Catholic priests that run into the problem of encounter-
ing the same demons over and over again because they
don't address the demon itself; they just push it out, which
causes it to go away and haunt someone new. My tactics
are able to address all those issues and more.
Q: Your book hints at the role of quantum theory and
quantum entanglement in the spiritual realm. Could
you shed some light on how these scientific theories
intersect with your paranormal investigations?
18 Paranormal Underground September 2023
Chris: Within quantum studies, there is this
law called the uncertainty principle. It states
that “the observer collapses the quantum
state." This means that a ghost cannot ma-
nipulate a physical object as long as I watch or
observe it.
There have been times when I’ve asked
a spirit to move something. When nothing
happens, I'll ask, “Are you trying to move 1t?”
They'll say, “Yes.” Since I’m watching the
item, this uncertainty principal prevents a spirit
from moving it.
One time I told this boy spirit to move a
ball I placed on the ground for him. I turned
away for 10 seconds and looked back. The ball
moved a centimeter over, and it was vibrating!
So, it does work. And yes, this is also another
rule that spirits have to follow!
As for quantum entanglement, one time I
set up a few EDI meters around a large build-
ing. While I was on the far side of the build-
ing, I began performing a healing ritual for
the spirit I was interacting with. As I chanted
and used singing bowls, the EDI meter on the
other side of the building (which was a few hundred feet
apart) began going bonkers for the entire two minutes my
ceremony was being performed.
The meter finally went silent upon me ending my
prayer. This was the only time that entire night that meter
went off! So, this singular event revealed how two points
within the building can be somehow linked on a quantum
level, proving the existence of quantum entanglement.
О: You've been a ghost tour guide at the Oliver
House and Collingwood Arts Center for almost a
decade. Are there specific experiences or encoun-
ters at these locations that inspired the method-
ologies outlined in Haunted Toledo?
Chris: The Collingwood Arts Center is a very haunted
location and became my training ground for learning how
to interact with spirits. It’s an art form that takes countless
hours to master, because there are so many nuances. You
have to learn how to be commanding but not pushy; know
the nght thing to say but not be boring.
Гуе gotten so good at this that I can usually pinpoint
the exact moment when a spirit leaves my conversation.
Suffice to say, I’ve tested all sorts of theories, overcame
many obstacles, and interacted with both friendly and
demonic spirits alike.
Encounters turn out both heartwarming and unnerv-
ing. For instance, one time а ghost played music for us
on these different tone devices I had placed around the
room. Another time they performed this weird shadow
puppet show on the wall, and the craziest stunt of all was
that I created a vaudeville act with a ghost — I kid you
not! Every time I took a tour group into the basement, we
performed this routine where I asked, *Are you bored?
Do you want us to slap someone?"
Then I had a plant in the audience say, “Do you want
us to slap Chris?" At that very moment, all the meters in
the room would go off. This always elicited huge laughter
from the crowd. It happened every single time without
fail. I even had regulars come back just to see that mo-
ment play out!
What's even more amazing 1s whenever I performed
that same routine without a group present, the ghost never
spiked the meter on that mark. It only happened with
people around. It was wild, and I doubt ГЇЇ ever witness
anything like that again.
Q: Your background is eclectic, incorporating
elements of ancient texts, Buddhism, psychology,
and sociology. How do these diverse fields inform
your approach to paranormal investigations?
Chris: I've been a ghost tour guide for over a decade.
Гуе seen every approach ghost hunters use and see how
they produce a certain set of finite outcomes. "Thinking
outside the box with new techniques 15 the only way to
advance this field further. I use sociology to help draw
spirits out, psychologically to befriend spirits quickly, a
classification system to understand them better, Bud-
dhism for healing, etc.
Ilook at it this way: Einstein had theories of relativ-
ity to advance science, and Alexander Fleming created
penicillin to advance medicine. The paranormal field has
stagnated over the last decade, and it's long overdue for a
huge shake up. I hope I can help usher in а new era with
my techniques.
Q: You have been featured in various media out-
lets, from CBS News to Coast to Coast AM. How
have these platforms helped to validate or chal-
lenge your methods and findings?
Chris: This last year has been absolutely insane. People
are hungry for deeper understandings of the afterlife.
Once I start my Q&A segments, I can't get away! I sit
there for hours answering questions, because my answers
always cause five more hands to go up!
The public is really craving this deeper knowledge,

ing projects or investigations that readers and

MIND OVER MATTER
The Fascinating World of Tulpamancy
By Chad Wilson
n the vast landscape of the human mind, the concept
of tulpas has been gaining prominence in recent
years, sparking intrigue and curiosity among those
who delve into the mysteries of consciousness.
Tulpas, often associated with Tibetan Buddhism but
with a contemporary twist, represent a fascinating explora-
tion of the human capacity to shape and manifest thoughts
and entities.
Unveiling the Mystery of Tulpas
Tulpas, in essence, are thought forms or mental
constructs created by the sheer power of one’s imagina-
tion and intention. The term “tulpa” itself derives from
Tibetan Buddhism, where it refers to a concept of emana-
tion or manifestation. In the context of contemporary
tulpamancy, practitioners intentionally create these mental
entities through focused thought, meditation, and visual-
ization.
The process of tulpa creation typically involves the
practitioner dedicating significant time and energy to
developing their tulpa’s personality, appearance, and even
backstory. Through consistent meditation and concentra-
tion, the tulpa gradually takes on a life of its own, with
some even reporting that their tulpas gain independence
and autonomy, engaging in conversations and activities
beyond the creator’s control.
The Power of the Mind
The emergence of tulpas raises profound questions
about the capabilities of the human mind. Can we truly
manifest sentient beings through thought alone? While
some may remain skeptical, the anecdotal evidence from
tulpamancers suggests that, at the very least, the mind has
an astonishing capacity to conjure and sustain complex
mental constructs.
20 Paranormal Underground September 2023
It's important to note that tulpamancy isn’t neces-
sarily rooted in mysticism or the paranormal; rather, it
highlights the remarkable plasticity of human cognition.
Our minds are, in many ways, creators of our realities.
Tulpas, in this context, exemplify how our thoughts can
take on a life of their own when nurtured with dedica-
tion and belief.
Tulpas in the Real World
Most examples of individuals or groups creating
tulpas are anecdotal and often come from personal ac-
counts, as the scientific study of this phenomenon 1$ still
relatively limited. But there are many documented cases
of tulpamancy, including these:

SPECIAL REPORT
* Alexandra David-Néel: One of the earliest
Western accounts of creating a tulpa comes from the
Belgian-French explorer Alexandra David-Néel. In her
book “Magic and Mystery in Tibet,” she recounts her
experiences with Tibetan mystics and claims to have
created a tulpa in the form of a jolly monk. Eventually,
she had to “dissolve” the tulpa as it started to become
malevolent.
* The Philip Experiment: Conducted in the 1970s
by a group of Canadian parapsychologists, this experi-
ment aimed to create a *ghost" through collective belief
and focus — a form of tulpamancy. The group invented a
fictional character named Philip and conducted séances
to try and contact him. Reportedly, they experienced
unexplained phenomena, including table movements and
rappings.
* Dr. Samuel Veissiére’s Study: Dr. Samuel Veis-
siére, a cognitive anthropologist, conducted a study on
tulpamancy. In his work, he cites instances of individuals
who claim to have successfully created tulpas. While this
isn't a single example, it is a collection of examples that
have been subject to some level of academic scrutiny.
* Brony Community: Within the Brony community
(fans of My Little Pony), there has been a subculture dedi-
cated to creating tulpas based on the show's characters.
22 Paranormal Underground September 2023
While this might be seen as an extension of
fandom, these individuals seriously engage
in practices aiming to create sentient tulpas.
* Reddit User Case Studies: There
are numerous case studies and personal
accounts on platforms such as Reddit
where individuals describe their experi-
ences with creating tulpas. For example, a
Reddit user might post a detailed account
of how they created a tulpa over a span
of several months, describing their tech-
niques and the interactions they've had
with their thoughtform.
e YouTube Channels: Some indi-
viduals share their tulpamancy journey via
YouTube. These YouTubers document
their progress, techniques, and experiences,
serving as real-life instances of people creat-
ing tulpas.
The Ethics and Implications
The rise of tulpamancy has also
sparked ethical and philosophical discus-
sions. Some argue that creating sentient
beings within one's mind can raise concerns
about consent and responsibility. After all,
if a tulpa gains independence, should it be
treated as a separate entity with rights and autonomy? The
ethics of tulpamancy become even murkier when consid-
ering the potential consequences of creating and abandon-
ing tulpas.
Furthermore, tulpas challenge the conventional
boundaries between reality and imagination. This leaves
us to ponder whether tulpas blur the line between sanity
and delusion, and what implications this may have for our
understanding of mental health.
The Future of Tulpas
The phenomenon of tulpamancy continues to evolve
in the digital age, with online communities providing а
platform for practitioners to share experiences, tech-
niques, and support. Some tulpamancers even integrate
their tulpas into their daily lives, seeking companionship,
creativity, and self-improvement through this unique form
of inner exploration.
As our understanding of consciousness deepens, it's
conceivable that tulpas will remain a subject of fascination
and inquiry. Whether regarded as psychological quirks or
windows into the untapped potential of the human mind,
tulpas serve as a captivating reminder that the frontiers of
our cognition are far from fully charted. Ф

LOVE, WAR & SPECTERS
UNVEILING THE MYSTERIES
OF IRELANDS ROSS CASTLE
By PAUL DALE ROBERTS, HALO PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS
reland’s Ross Castle was built in the latter half of the 15th
century. A local ruling clan, called the O'Donoghues
Mor (Ross), took control of Ross Castle during the
changing of the guard from the Second Desmond Rebellion,
which occurred in the 1580s via the MacCarthy Mor.
The castle then went to Sir Valentine Browne, who
was the ancestor of the Earls of Kenmare. The castle was
a stronghold and one of the last castles to surrender to
Oliver Cromwell’s Roundheads in what was called the
Irish Confederate Wars. The use of artillery was a success
in bringing down Ross Castle. The artillery was brought in
by boat from the River Laune.
Lord Muskerry (MacCarthy) held the castle against
Edmund Ludlow, who had an army of 4,000 foot-soldiers,
along with 200 horses. Ludlow’s army didn’t get the credit
for taking down Ross Castle; it was the boat with artillery
that broke down the fortification.
There was a prophesy that nothing will bring down
Ross Castle, except for a warship — and that is exactly
what happened. The prophesy came true. One of the
strangest legends about Ross Castle is that O’ Donoghue
jumped out of a window from one of the high towers with
his horse, table and library and now he lives in a great
palace at the bottom of the lake.
The Ghosts of Ross Castle
Ross Castle is a majestic fortress that overlooks Lough
Sheelin, which is one of Ireland’s midland lakes. Dur-
ing its prime, Ross Castle was a fantastic strategic defense
fortress. As such, Ross Castle has seen its share of death
during various skirmishes that occurred at this location.
A ghost that wanders the castle and surrounding land

Baron had control of this castle in the year 1536. He was
known for his cruel streak, which often led to death for

people living on his land. In one case, a women baked a
loaf of bread and placed it on her windowsill. A dog hap-
pened upon the loaf of bread and made off with it. The
lady saw a beggar nearby and, not knowing the stray dog
stole the bread, she yelled, “Thief, thief!” at the beggar.
The Black Baron apprehended the beggar imme-
diately and had his men build a gallows on the spot. He
hung the beggar right there and then. The Black Baron
was merciless; it didn’t matter that the beggar told him
that he did not steal the bread. There were also witnesses
who told the Baron that a dog stole the bread. But, he
didn’t care and hung the beggar anyway.
Shadow people have been spotted the castle, as well
as full-bodied apparitions of English soldiers walking
toward the castle and then mysteriously disappearing.
Glowing red eyes have been seen in the lake itself. When
fishermen see the red eyes glowing underneath the waters of
the lake, their boats start rocking. And several fishermen have
fallen off of their boats. Some believe that the glowing red eyes
in the lakes are “red-eyed lake devils.” Their main purpose 15
to drown their victims and take their souls.
Encountering Sabrina the Ghost: A Sad Spirit
Looking for Her Lost Love
During my travels in Ireland, I met Evelyn on a fairy-
walk. She told me that she saw a ghost at the castle, who
was named Sabrina. The story of Sabrina is that she was
the daughter of the Black Baron. Sabrina fell in love with
Orwin, the son of an O'Reilly Chieftain.
The Black Baron was sworn enemies with the
O'Reilly Chieftain and his clan, so Sabrina had to secretly
see her boyfriend, Orwin. If Orwin was caught with Sa-
brina, he could be executed by the Black Baron.
Sabrina and Orwin secretly carried on their affair.
One night, they met on a boat at the lake. During their
time on the boat, a storm came in and Orwin fell off the
boat. He was swept away and eventually drowned. Sabrina
was so upset that she locked herself in one of the high
towers of the castle and died of starvation.
To this day, Sabrina is seen wandering around by the
lake, looking for her lost lover. Evelyn has seen Sabrina
with her own eyes and knows that the ghost of Sabrina 1$

The Crop Circle
That Wasn't
By Philip Mantle, Flying Disk Press
nJune 21, 2005, British bicyclist Mike Booth
() was out for his regular constitutional at about
6:30 p.m., pedaling along the road through
Lockeridge in Wiltshire, England, toward the tiny rural
village of Alton Barnes — for many years a center of crop
circle activity.
As he passed by the fields known as Boreham Down,
which rise up from the road on both the left and right,
near the village of Lockeridge, he was startled to observe
three to four whitish, metallic-looking objects about 200
yards away up in the field off to his left. They were slowly
gliding along through the tops of the young wheat.
Mike estimated that the objects were approximately
six feet long and four feet wide, with dome-shaped tops
sticking up above the seed-heads by about two to three
feet. His impression was that they were not touching the
ground, but were only flattening the upper portion of the
plants, leaving random trails in the young crop behind
them as they moved.
The photograph on this page was taken on June 22,
2005, by Mike, and it shows one of the tracks left by the
objects in the young wheat. In this photo, it appears that
only the tops of the plants have been bent over, although
later on in the season, this track — and the others appar-
ently made by the objects — were flat to the ground. Cars
at top/left of the photo show Mike's approximate location
on the evening of June 21.
As Mike stopped to watch the strange spectacle, he
realized that the objects had stopped moving. He had a
peculiar sense that they had done so because they were
now “aware” of him sitting on his bike at the bottom of
the hill. And in spite of the fact that he had a mobile
phone with a camera with him and did consider taking
photograph, he — for reasons he can't explain — decided
not to.

As is often noted by people who have witnessed simi-
lar bizarre events, Mike later realized his behavior at the
time was uncharacteristically “passive,” since he simply
accepted the idea that he should *leave it alone" and con-
tinue on his way. Which is exactly what he did.
On the following day, a geometric crop circle was
discovered in this same field, but it was in another section
not fully visible from the road where Mike had stopped

shredded plants were found piled up in various
places throughout the outer edge area, as if placed
there deliberately by someone. Subsequent con-
versation with the farmer is reported to rule out
his involvement.
I must admit that I am not a fan of so-called
"crop circles" and have had little involvement with
them. An old colleague of mine, Walter Black
from the Yorkshire UFO Society (YUFOS), and I
did venture down to Wiltshire іп the 1980's when
photographs of these “circles” first appeared in
the media. If you have been involved in ufology
for as long as I have in the U.K., then you cannot
escape them.
There is no way that I am going to get into the
debate about crop circles here; we can leave that

CASE FILES Or THE UNKNOWN: CRYPTIDS & MYTHOLOGICAL CREATURES
ТНЕЕМОМА OF ARIZONA
J he Mogollon Monster
By Cheryl Knight-Wilson
n the vast stretches of Arizona’s forests and wil-
derness, a creature of myth and local folklore has
captured imaginations for generations — the Mogollon
Monster.
This cryptid, often described as Bigfoot's South-
western cousin, has been the subject of campfire stories,
amateur investigations, and a slew of reported sightings.
The legend of the Mogollon Monster presents a compel-
ling narrative that interweaves cultural folklore, human
psychology, and the vast, untamed landscapes of the
American Southwest.
Origins, Descriptions & Sightings
The name *Mogollon Monster" derives from the
Mogollon Rim, a geological feature that slices across the
state of Arizona. The monster is usually described as a
large, bipedal creature, covered in fur, and standing ap-
proximately 7 to 8 feet tall.
Witnesses often recount a nauseating stench that
accompanies the creature, described variously as akin to
“dead fish,” “musk,” or “decaying peat moss."
The first recorded sighting dates back to the early
20th century, although Native American tribes in the
region have stories that could very well predate this. Since
then, numerous individuals have claimed encounters,
some even venturing as far as presenting footprints, pho-
tographs, and sound recordings as evidence.
These pieces of “proof,” however, often suffer from a
lack of scientific rigor and credibility, keeping the Mog-
ollon Monster firmly in the realm of local legend rather
than biological reality.
Top Mogollon Monster Encounters
Don Davis’ 1940s Boy Scout Encounter: One of
most frequently cited accounts came from Don Davis,
who claimed to have encountered the creature during a
Boy Scout trip in the 1940s near Payson, Arizona. The
28 Paranormal Underground September 2023
creature was said to be huge, with deep-set eyes and mas-
sive arms.
Mitch Waite’s Account: The late-Mitch Waite, the
founder of MogollonMonster.com, was an avid researcher
and claimed to have multiple encounters with the crea-
ture. His most famous account came in 2006 when Waite
claimed to have recorded vocalizations of the monster
near Payson, Arizona. Waite also stated that he discov-
ered large footprints at the site, which he believes were left
by the creature.
Marjorie Grimes Encounter: Grimes, who resides in
Whiteriver, Arizona, reported multiple sightings of the
creature spanning from 1982 to 2004. She characterized
the creature as being tall and black in color, moving with
large strides.
Fort Apache Sightings: The creature has also been
spotted by a few people on the Fort Apache Indian Reser-
vation. @

ANCIENT SPIRITS HELP
SETTLE A MODERN DEBT
By T Stokes
his is an odd tale. And looking back, I am not
very proud of my part in it. It began with the
introduction of the Abercrombie plan in 1944.
Germany had been totally destroyed, but certain of Hit-
ler’s ideas were to be implemented here in the U.K., such
as the National Health Service, paid out of weekly wages,
as well as a proper road system.
U.K. roads were built in the days of horses and
carts. Germany had the Volkswagen or “people’s car,”
and the U.K. had, from 1950, the Morris Minor — a
cheap U.K. “people’s car.” The secret plan was to build
proper motorways like the ones ш Germany and to
import in millions of migrants over a long period into
the U.K.
So, when a new 117-mile motorway, the M25, was be-
ing pushed through some ancient countryside in Essex —
called Epping Forest — realters that are known in the U.K.
as estate agents saw the advantage of homes with access to
the new motorway around London. They had a field day
doubling prices of homes for sale.
Estate agents are very aware of “stickers” — spirits
attached to a home — and some homes just will not sell.
Dropping the price does not work, as the public just won’t
buy. Often, an estate agent will contact someone like my-
self and ask for a spiritual cleansing. The word exorcism is
never used, but cleaning through past diseased vibes, toxic
character conditions, spent emotional hurts, and spiritual
residues — all known as “resi” — are part of the healing
course. Then, often, a house can be sold.
I was called in to cleanse a cottage. This empty
cottage was based on a 14th- century thatched home
and was badly in need of restoration. It had been up for
sale for some time at a ridiculously low price. I arrived
at “Druids Cottage,” and I used the huge door key to
enter. I walked around inside, scaring the pigeons out of
the hole in the roof.
I sat down to assess the kind of spirits that were there.
30 Paranormal Underground September 2023
Old, dusty, damp corner skirting boards are the favorite
habitat of elementals. These are a common, basic mis-
chievous spirit that can give great irritation to people, and
they can bring about strange health conditions that don’t
clear up. They also can be responsible for nocturnal
scratchings and scraping sounds.
I took a small bottle from my bag, put it on the floor,
and read out the 23rd psalm. I told the elemental spints
they must, in God’s name, enter the bottle. I then banged
the lid on tight and quickly left. My intention was to re-
lease the spirits in Epping Forest on the way back, where
they could do no harm. But a taxi pulled up outside,
which was sent by the estate agent’s office. So, I took the
cab home.
Some years later, a friend had come out of a very
difficult marriage. And although vulnerable and emotion-
ally wobbly, she had joined a dating agency. A handsome,
young man paid her a lot of attention, made many prom-
ises, and she was smitten.
This man told her he was a big business man but all
his money was tied up. He asked if she could loan him
her divorce settlement money for two weeks. Then he
would repay her with a little interest.
She fell for it and gave over the money. Of course,
she did not hear from him again.
On checking, the man had not used his
real name and was now out of the country.
While the police could not get to him, we
could. Going the to the shelf at the back of my
shed, I picked up the httle bottle with the angry
elementals in it and said, *In exchange for your
freedom, I have a little job for you boys."
Before I continue, please do not try this at
home. Conjuration of spirits is not an easy task.
Continuing, I placed the photo of this man
on the table in the midday sun — remember,
these are creatures of the night, and bright sun-
light 1s painful to them. I promised them in the
names of the four archangels they would never
again be subjected to sunshine, but they must
attach themselves to this man.
In an instant, the creatures were gone. I
completed the spell with the magician's clo-
sure: “As is my will so mote 1t be."
God sometimes allows us to be instruments of karma,
and this man had to be stopped. Winston Churchill’s
favorite medium in WWII explained it like this: *Some-
times you have to fight fire with fire."
The choice was now m the man's hands: Pay back
what he stole, or suffer the consequences. ®

The Bank’s History
The Bank is an old building. In fact, 1t was originally
the D.O. Mills Bank Building, which was connected to
the Gold Rush of 1849. D.O. Mills is Darius O. Mills,
a prominent American banker and philanthropist. At
the age of 22, he set sail from his native North Salem in
New York for California. Yep, D.O. Mills was part of the
Gold Rush.
He was business savvy and knew that there was more
money to be made trading than ш prospecting. His first
venture was to buy a boatload of supplies to take up the
San Joaquin River to sell to the gold miners. However,
with the Gold Rush gaining momentum, it took only a
few months until he realized there was a dire need for a
bank to service the gold miners who came to town with
pouches of gold dust and nuggets.
With his New York background in banking, D.O.
Mills was ready to build his bank! The Bank became

At that time, I got an EVP of a man that sounded
like “wait here.”
Deanna also encountered a ghost that I will call “The

wearing something like a fisherman’s outfit and had the
face of George Washington and curly hair. The Fisher-
man wandered around the hallway.

THE CARTER FILES: MYSTERIES OF THE UNKNOWN
The Chiles- Whitted
UFO Encounter
By Cheryl Lynn Carter
n the early morning of July 24, 1948, Eastern
Airlines Flight 576 was in transit from Houston,
Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. The Douglas DC-3 air-
liner with 20 passengers aboard was piloted by Captain
Clarence S. Chiles and First Officer John B. Whitted.
They were flying at an altitude of 5,000 feet and cruis-
ing at a speed of 200 mph.
At approximately 2:45 a.m. EST, while 20 miles
southwest of Montgomery, Alabama, Captain Chiles
observed a tremendous red glowing light ahead that
was rapidly approaching their aircraft. He initially
thought it was a new military jet. But, as the object
continued its course heading directly toward the plane,
Captain Chiles quickly banked the plane to the left in
order to avoid a mid-air collision.
They were holding a compass heading at 50
degrees as the object passed them on the right side at
an estimated 700 mph. The object was wingless, cigar
shaped, and about a hundred feet in length, with the
fuselage the size of a Boeing B-29 Bomber.
There were two rows of very large, square win-
dows, one upper and another lower, and from inside
these windows a white light was glowing. They heard
no sound or felt any turbulence as the object — with a
blue fluorescent glow underneath — pulled up sharply
into some light clouds at 6,000 feet altitude with an
exhaust trail of red-orange flames.
Both pilots realized this was not any known air-
craft. Captain Chiles radioed Air Traffic Control in
Columbus, Georgia, and asked them to contact Law-
son Army Airfield at Fort Benning, Georgia, in order
to find out if they had any jet or experimental aircraft
flying in the area. He began to describe the anomalous

object they had encountered. It was confirmed that
there were no other aircraft in the area at that time.
Upon landing in Atlanta, Georgia, at 3:49 a.m.,
U.S. Air Force military officers arrived and began in-
terrogating the pilots. Both men wrote a statement and
did sketches, describing the unidentified flying aircraft
they had observed. The U.S. Air Force intensely in-
vestigated the sighting under Project Sign, which later
became Project Blue Book. They drew a map show-
ing фе object's trajectory that indicated it would have
passed over Macon, Georgia.
That same night, the crew chief at Robins Air
Force Base near Macon, Georgia, reported observing
an extremely bright light pass overhead at a high rate
of speed. Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio,

tion. Special Investigator Walter Cassidy interrogated
the crew chief.
File #333.5: “I am a member of the Transient
Maintenance Alert Crew on the midnight shift. The
object appeared on Friday night, between 0140 and
0150 hours EST. I was standing fire guard on a C-47,
directly across from Operations. There was good vis-
ibility and no clouds. It was coming out of the north
and in my view for about 20 seconds. The first thing
I saw was a steam of fire, and I was undecided as to
what it could be. But as it got overhead, it was a fairly
clear outline and appeared to be a cylindrical-shaped
object with a long stream of fire coming out of its
tail end. I was sure it would not be a jet since I have
observed F-84s in flight at night on occasion. The last I
saw of it, the object was taking a southwest course.
“The altitude was about 3,000 feet. It could be
lower or higher. At night it 15 difficult to judge dis-
tance. The trail of fire was longer than the cylindrical
shape of the object. I noticed a faint blue glow on the
belly of the wingless object. I thought at first it was
a shooting star or a meteor, but a shooting star falls
perpendicular. This object was on a straight and level

plane. I have seen two meteors and they appear to be
round or more or less ball shaped, and this object was
long and cylindrical in shape. I believe it was traveling
at about 700 miles per hour."
This encounter on July 24, 1948, played a sig-
nificant role in the field of ufology. The sighting was
one of the first that would describe a UFO as being
a structured, mechanical craft. Project Sign wrote an
Estimate of the Situation report. After final approval
by Col. William Clingerman and Col. Howard Mc-
Coy, it was submitted to General Charles Cabell,
chief of Air Force Intelligence. He, in turn, submit-
ted the report to Air Force Chief of Staff General
Hoyt S. Vandenberg.
The report was a thick document with a black
cover. Stamped across the front were the words TOP
SECRET. It contained Project Sign's analysis and
explained their reasons for concluding that the ex-
traterrestrial hypothesis was the best explanation for
unidentified objects.
This is just the beginning of the U.S. Air Force's
launch of Project Blue Book, which would come to
collect, organize, and analyze over 12,000 UFO sight-
ings during its operation between 1952-1969. €

UNLOCKING THE MYSTERIES
OF THE AKASHIC RECORDS:
A Cosmic LIBRARY OF KNOWLEDGE
By Chad Wilson
n the vast expanse of the cosmos, where realms of
spirituality and metaphysics converge, lies a concept
that has intrigued mystics, philosophers, and seekers
of wisdom for centuries — the Akashic Records.
This ethereal repository of knowledge, often de-
scribed as a cosmic library, is said to hold the secrets of
the Universe, transcending time and space to reveal the
past, present, and future. In this article, we delve into the
enigmatic world of the Akashic Records, examining its
origins, significance, and how it has captured the imagina-
tions of countless individuals.
Origins of the Akashic Records
The concept of the Akashic Records can be traced
back to ancient Hindu and Tibetan traditions. In these an-
cient teachings, there is mention of an omnipresent, non-
physical substance called “Akasha,” which is believed to
be the fundamental fabric of reality. Within this Akasha, it
is said that every thought, action, and experience of every
living being is imprinted, creating a cosmic memory bank.
However, it was the 1 9th-century Theosophical
movement that popularized the concept in the Western

ance while navigating the cosmic library.
* Intuition and Synchronicity: Some individuals claim that
they receive insights from the Akashic Records in everyday life
through intuition or synchronistic events. These occurrences
often provide unexpected answers to pressing questions.
The Akashic Records in Practice
For those who believe in the existence of the Akashic
Records, they serve as a source of profound wisdom and
guidance. Seekers often turn to the Records to gain clarity
on life’s challenges, make important decisions, or under-
stand the deeper purpose of their existence. The informa-
tion retrieved from the Records is thought to be highly
personal, tailored to the individual’s spiritual journey.
Edgar Cayce, the renowned American psychic, was one
of the most famous individuals who claimed to access the
Akashic Records. During trance-like states, Cayce pro-
vided detailed readings on a wide range of topics, including
health, spirituality, and historical events. His accuracy and
insights continue to fascinate and inspire people today.
Theoretical Implications
While the concept of the Akashic Records remains
firmly within the realm of spirituality and metaphysics, some
have attempted to explore potential connections with mod-
ern scientific theories. The most notable of these is the idea
that the Akashic Records could be related to the concept of a
universal consciousness or a shared collective unconscious.
Carl Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist and founder of ana-
lytical psychology, proposed the concept of the “collective
unconscious.” He believed that there exists a shared res-
ervoir of symbols and archetypal experiences within the
human psyche. This collective unconscious, Jung argued,
connects all individuals and can manifest in dreams, art,
and mythology.
Some thinkers have drawn parallels between Jung’s
concept and the Akashic Records, suggesting that both
point to a deeper, interconnected dimension of human
experience.
In the realm of quantum physics, there has also been
speculation about whether the Akashic Records could be
linked to the quantum field. However, it’s important to
note that such connections remain speculative and are not
widely accepted within the scientific community.
Closing Thoughts
The Akashic Records remain an alluring enigma, cap-
tivating the hearts and minds of those who seek profound
wisdom and insights beyond the boundaries of ordinary exis-
tence. Whether viewed as a spiritual concept or a metaphysi-
cal belief, the idea of a cosmic library holding the secrets of
the Universe continues to inspire curiosity and wonder.
As we journey through the realms of spirituality and
metaphysics, the concept of the Akashic Records invites
us to contemplate the possibility of a deeper, intercon-
nected tapestry of existence — a tapestry where every
thought, action, and experience is woven into the grand
narrative of the cosmos, awaiting discovery by those who
dare to explore the mysteries of the Universe. Ф

The waxing moon is an energetically active time that
requires sustained effort and movement toward what’s
becoming.
Waning Cycle
Full Moon is when the Sun and Moon oppose each
other in the sky and we can see the entire Moon reflecting
the Sun. Full Moon is the beginning of the waning cycle —
the completion of growth during the waxing cycle.
Full phase is bright, revealing, and brings awareness.
It’s traditionally a time of celebration, gratitude, manifes-
tation, and illumination. Once we see the results of our
efforts, we have decisions to make about how to use and
share them. It's also possible we won't take them any
further, accepting that not everything works out.
The remaining waning cycle calls for wisdom, reflec-
tion, insight, and eventually letting it all go. The ending of
any cycle is so critical to the beginning of the next one. It's
like creating compost from the past to fertilize the seeds
of the future.
Bringing it Back to Magical Moon Gardens
Draw down the magic of the Moon in your own yard
or windowsill. First of all, you can create a moon garden
with white and silver plants. Snowdrops, narcissus, white
tulips, and magnolia are some favorites, and silver thyme
and silver sage are gorgeous, fragrant additions.
If you're a true Moonchild, you'll want night-
blooming flowers, like evening primrose, night gladi-
olus, angel's trumpet, night-scented tobacco, and — of
course — moonflower! Don't forget lunar herbs and
plants, such as eucalyptus, fennel, mugwort, lily, willow,
and jasmine. You can Google all kinds of info if you
want to learn more.
Growing by the Moon's Phases
The basic rule is, no planting during the dark or New
Moon. Just after the waxing crescent appears in the sky,
you can start planting and continue through the waxing
half of the cycle. Planting while the Moon's in a water sign
(Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) adds extra growing power.
Full Moon is when plants are at peak energy, but as
the Moon wanes, her energy fades. Third quarter is tradi-
tional harvest time and planting time for things that grow
underground, such as root vegetables. The last quarter of
the Moon’s cycle is a barren time when it’s best to tend
the soil and focus on compost and weeding.
In Closing
Honoring the Moon honors life. It increases our
receptivity to the ever-changing nature of existence on our
planet. Whether you're planning to tend your garden or
your next project, working with the Moon's cycle will help
you harvest the best results and find meaning in every
aspect of the journey.
And, as always, the Moon is a reminder to nurture
what you love and follow your heart. What you create ex-
ternally is a window into your own soul. Whatever shape
or form it takes, may your moon garden grow. Ф

THE SHAMAN WINDWALKER
IHE DANCING LIGHTS
summoning UFOs
By Willie Windwalker Gibson
n my 58 years in the paranormal field, I have
encountered many things. In fact, people who have
read my books and magazine articles find it hard to
believe I have done so many things. Sometimes, I also
find it hard to believe, but every adventure I share 1s
10096 real.
One such story I will share now.
I have written before of my UFO experiences since
I was 10 years old. Growing up Cherokee and Irish, I
had the best of both worlds. I believe that being Chero-
kee has had a lot to do with UFOs visiting me. Indians
seem to draw UFOs and aliens.
This story takes place in the mid-1990s. My wife,
Schmon, was living in a suburb of Louisville, Ken-
tucky, near the Jefferson County line. At that time, we
had several groups going in the paranormal realms.
We had a psychic group, a ghost-hunting group, and a
UFO group.
The UFO group was made up of believers and
non-believers. The non-believers were mostly in the
group to be entertained by the stories we shared about
our contact with UFOs and aliens. That was OK with
the rest of us, because we knew what we had experi-
enced and being mocked didn’t bother us.
One Saturday night, the UFO group got into a
discussion about UFO contact and communications.
I told the group I was able, at times, to think about
UFOs showing up in the night sky and they would do
a sort of dance for me. Of course, the non-believers
made fun of me. In fact, they dared me to prove it by
making UFOs show up right then and there.
So, I asked the group to follow me outside. The
night was clear, and you could see the Milky Way. The
Big Dipper and stars were bright Фе night sky. I told
the group to look up and watch the night sky.
44 Paranormal Underground September 2023
Then, I asked out loud for the UFOs to appear.
After only a few minutes, several bright objects showed
up. They looked like stars that were crisscrossing in the
sky. They seemed to be doing a sort of dance.
Let’s just say that the non-believers in the group
were stunned. I then thanked the objects and let them
know they could go.
I took the group back inside, and while the non-
believers said they were impressed, they still didn’t
believe in aliens. I let them know that it was OK, and
their opinions were appreciated by the group.
I had a feeling, though, that what they witnessed
that night did indeed open their minds to extraterres-
trial intelligence. €

IN MEMORIAM
REMEMBERING
SCOTT GRUENWALD
By Cheryl Lynn Carter
6 6 love you, and there's noth-
IE you can do about it!"
Sadly, we will no longer
hear those immortal words from
our good friend Scott Gruenwald, as
news of his departure rang out from
the heavens. Truly, Heaven has
gained a great one, and I can already
hear him playing “Somewhere Over
the Rainbow” on his ukulele.
Scott had a vibrant embodiment
of charisma and humor that was
a force of nature. He had a heart
that knew no boundaries. He loved
Ше and lived it to the fullest. As he
journeyed down this road called life,
sometimes wearing his pink tutu,
his extraordinary presence brought
laughter, smiles, and cherished
memories to everyone he encoun-
tered along the way.
He always maintained that we
need to make time to play, because it keeps one young.
And he was a master at evoking the inner child in each
and every one of us. His spirit and legacy will live in the
hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
“Scott was the pioneer of laughter in the paranor-
mal! He mastered the art of bringing investigators
and spirits together using humor. He was family to
us as he was for many! He will forever be missed.
Until we meet again, brother!”
— Jay and Marie Yates
For years, like many of us, he found himself im-
mersed in the paranormal. In order to overcome his

fear of the dark, he spent a night
alone in an asylum, taking with him
only a recorder, candle, and some
snacks. One such place was the
infamous Washoe Club in Virginia
City. It is Nevada's most famous
and haunted saloon that is home to
the spirits of the men who mined
the Comstock Lode, the first major
discovery of silver ore in the U.S.
Scott remarked that his investiga-
tions were always interesting because
he was guaranteed to be grabbed,
pushed, whispered to, and kissed.
He was afforded the oppor-
tunity to be a reporter for Travel
Channel’s Paranormal Paparazzi
TV show. He was so excited that he
immediately said yes. Well, maybe
he went home and asked his wife,
Linda, first. He said she just smiled
and told him to bring extra socks.
Then he set off on a journey with a team of reporters
traveling across the country as they tracked down the
most current paranormal stories. Some of his reports
included the San Diego Chupacabra, Zombie Boot
Camp, Jersey Shore UFO, and the Nicolas Cage Vam-
pire.
“Scott was a friend, a brother, and a man who was
loved by so many people, and a man who loved you
just as much, and there was nothing you could do
about it.”
— Jeff Konkel
Scott was also excited to be part of Zak Bagans’
Paranormal Challenge series, which featured two differ-
ent teams going head-to head m a weekly competition,
attempting to gather evidence by spending the night in
a haunted location. Scott's team investigated the halls of
Linda Vista Hospital in Los Angeles, California, where
It's been said some former patients have refused to
move on.
Upon meeting Zak, a life-long friendship devel-
oped. They called each other “doctor” in homage to
the movie Spies Like Us. He appeared on an episode
when the Ghost Adventures Crew investigated the
Wolfe Manor Hotel in Clovis, California, a place de-
scribed as a black hole, because so many people have
checked in but never left. He investigated the crawl-
space because ... why not?
We will always cherish the times Scott entertained
us by singing and playing his ukulele. His rendition
of Sweet Child of Mine 1s by far the BEST. And how
could we ever forget the funny lines from his paranor-
mal songs? “We learned it on TV. Shoot me from
my best side. Post me on social networks. Won't you
like my FB?" and *I asked for an EVP, Are you really
there? It said yes, and I love Zak Bagans' hair."
So, with a song in his heart, Scott left us that fate-
ful evening of September 18, 2023. He is survived by
his loving wife, Linda; daughter, Judy; sons, Cash and
Larry; and twin sister, Lori. He will be missed by every-
one who had the privilege to know him.
Scott, my dear friend, just so you know, we will for-
ever love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Jeff Belanger, Cheryl Lynn Carter, and Scott Gruenwald are
pictured enjoying the moment at a recent paranormal event.
